Consider the Cost

In this episode, we read a backstory of John the Baptist and see why and how he was executed. As this story is called to our attention, we are confronted with the reality that sharing the gospel of repentance could come at the expense of losing your life. Also, we see the disciples returning after their first mission trip reporting their experiences to Jesus—His response to them afterwards might seem counter-cultural.
